Phab at The Ark

We opened our Phab Liverpool project at The Ark in July 2008 and it has been our home ever since. The Ark is a busy day resource centre run and managed by L'Arche Liverpool, who provide services for people with learning disabilities.

Since we opened we have had more than 500 sessions and had lots of fun, whilst creating some awesome memories along the way. On a regular Phab night members can enjoy activities such as arts and crafts and boccia or just enjoy some tea and cake and have a good catch up with friends.

"Making More of Life Together"

Along with our regular activities we have also held several live drumming performances with our friends from Rhythm Reaction, whilst members have also performed many times at St George's Hall in productions such as The Alice Experience and The Narnia Experience, whilst working with In Another Place. All of our activities are designed to ensure we meet Phab's objective of 'making more of life together'.

We feel lucky to be based at The Ark and we feel part of the community at L'Arche Liverpool, who have provided us with a venue that ensures we are able to offer a safe and welcoming enviironment to all of our Phab members.

We are affiliated to Phab Limited, we form a network of more than 150 Phab Clubs across England and Wales, through this, our members also have the opportunity to attend residential projects that are organised by Phab Limited. In previous years, we have had members attend projects at Dukes Barn in Derbyshire and Bendrigg Lodge in Kendal.
