It's More Than a Game

In 2015, we started a pan-disability football project, and our F.C Phab Liverpool team have enjoyed success in the Merseyside Day Centre League and in winning the Christmas Cup on a couple of occasions.

It goes without saying, that football plays an integral role within our community, after all, we are based just a few miles away from Anfield and Goodison Park respectively.

Our team motto is “it’s more than a game”, it was our team that came up with the motto, and it is very appropriate. Whilst our players enjoy playing competitively, we also enjoy regular training sessions and team meetings, and social evenings, like our Phab 2019 Christmas Night at Brasco Lounge, pictured below.

Our Player/Manager Stephen Hunt has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the pan-disability football sector on Merseyside and has played a pivotal role in the running and management of our project. Stephen is also one the founders of Phab Liverpool and to be able to deliver and build our pan-disability football team is something we simply couldn't have done without Stephen. We are lucky to have a supportive team of volunteers too, that have all played their part in helping us deliver our pan-disability football project.

We are delighted to announce that we have secured funding from Comic Relief, which will support our pan-disability football project in enabling us to deliver more training opportunities and purchase a new kit. Our training sessions will ensure we are able to provide more opportunities for disabled people to participate in a football activity, within a safe and supportive environment.

In the coming months, we will launch images of our new kit and details of our new training sessions. We have already agreed on the final designs of the new kit and we can’t wait to showcase it in the near future.

Our pan-disability football project is open to any person that is ambulant disabled and aged 16 or over. If you or any person that you know is interested in joining our pan-disability football team then please contact us at info@phabliverpool.com
